Roleplay - Blue/Gold

Thea kept her eyes ahead of her, but still responded. "I couldn't keep up." She began, "Y'know, physically." Thea paused. "So that's why they experimented on me... I think." She was struggling to remember, picking up bits and pieces.

"But, I mean." Thea stated, "What can you do about it, right?" She sent a smile over her shoulder to Ellis.

Nodding, Ellis kept silent, now just trailing Thea as he considered her words. Maybe he'd been in for the same reason, though he couldn't possibly confirm this with an actual memory.

"That's new.." Jack said, standing up and raising an eyebrow. "On the list of a few things that need to be answered, I'll start with these. What the fuck was that voice, and what the fuck is that?"

"Possible intruder, and..." Artemis trailed off, looking up to Jack for a moment, tightening the grip he had on his amplifier. He quickly filled out the roster, somewhat randomly, before sending the list in for approval and returning the tablet to its rightful place. "... I have no idea what part of this situation you're talking about."

"The thing you had hidden in the uniform." Jack said, striding over to Artemis. "Is that your stash? Weed, maybe crack. Heroin?" He asked, grabbing Artemis's hand and prying it open, taking the amplifier. "Haven't seen this drug before. Do I, inject it? Smoke it? Eat it? The fuck is this?"

"Gah--No." Artemis groaned, reaching for the amplifier, past Jack. "It's--Ruby quartz, technology built in." He explained, giving up on trying to retrieve it. "Helps out with my powers. A little. I'm perfectly capable, just... Image. School doesn't want me to tear down a building, they'll dim it. If they need me to tear down a building, they amp it up. Helps in general, without the control. So--Y'know, if you want to stay safe... Gimme."

"I'll hold on to this." Jack said, a single tendril trailing down his arm, onto his hand and disappearing into his hand. After a few seconds he opened his hand to reveal nothing, only to turn it over to show Artemis the back of his hand, where the jewel was now a tattoo wrapped in black vines.

Jumping at the sight, Artemis immediately looked up to Jack, his free hand covering his mouth for a moment. "Dude--My dad will so not be okay with this." He muttered, inspecting the tattoo now. "Looks like... Some kinda'... Cult symbol." He continued, squinting at the design. Despite his reluctance, he did think it looked pretty cool, and if it isn't purely aesthetically pleasing, somewhat useful.

"Might want to rephrase that one. Sounds like we just hooked up and you don't want your father to find out." He grinned, turning around. "Now back to that voice. Who the fuck was that?"

"Ugh, god, you suck..." Artemis muttered, face lighting up with a soft shade of red. Returning focus to the voice, he started to scan the area, strengthening the shield around the room. Just in case. "Good news is... Definitely not a rogue faculty member." He offered, shrugging slightly. "Though, obviously that means someone broke in... Or it's another reform student..."

"That's good news? The fact that its someone we have no records or anything on, has somehow broken in, is good news?" He shrugged, walking towards the other end of the room. "I'd hate to see what bad news is."

"We both end up being the first victims of a massacre?" Artemis offered, looking back. "I'll be right back, gonna' scout. Please, try not to destroy anything. Especially the suits. Seriously." He called, walking toward the door, carefully, as it opened with telekinetic force.

Dark hair, intense eyes, and a suit so painfully out of style, Armani would shoot on sight. Overture stood outside the gates of the school, his pinstriped suit decorated with a purple tie, handkerchief and rose. A cape reaching down to his ankles descended from the waist of his blazer.
He had a solemn look on his face, criticizing mentally the aesthetic choices of the school's exterior. He waited patiently, listening to everything happen inside the mansion.

"Killing is caring," Leia muttered the senseless sentence. The pain medication starting to kick in.

Artemis walked out of the room, lowering the field as he left, instead focusing the energy on shielding himself. He started to search the subbasement halls, peering into the rooms he'd pass.

Moments after he left, the intercom clicked on with a short, static introduction. "We ask that the following students go to the subbasement floor, immediately. Caspian Argoroth, Jack Delone, Ethan Gunning, Leia Lehnsherr, Ellis McGuff, Thea Stathopoulos, and Dorian Thorne. Thank you. Mutatis Mutandis."

"Don't bother. I'm outside," hummed a chorus voices in Artemis' ear.
Overture pulled on a set of black gloves, wriggling his finger inside before cracking them. "Front gate. Quickly, if possible."

"Ugh, fuck me..." Artemis muttered, looking back for a moment. He rushed off, going to the elevator. In a slightly panicked fashion, he hit the call button a few times in rapid succession, as the machine made its way down. He was met with the sight of two faculty members, a man and a woman, accompanied by a purple dragon the size of a housecat. The man towered over the woman, his seemingly silver skin shimmering with the florescent lights illuminating the halls. The two passed Artemis without so much as a glance, before he rushed into the elevator, taking himself up to the first floor.

Upon hearing her name on the speakers, she raised her eyebrows at Ellis and grinned. "Two scenarios: one, we're tortured. Two, we get to have some serious fun." She explained, nabbing Ellis' wrist and taking the two to the subbasement.

Dorian groaned, still not totally awake, having skipped his classes and abused his medical accommodations. He pushed the elevator button several times, wiping his glasses off with his shirt. He had on an oversized blue hoodie, his brown hair a total mess. He was starting to consider just overloading the circuits on this stupid machine and seeing if it would pay attention to him then.

"Um--Okay?" Ellis muttered, reluctantly following Thea--Though, he didn't have much of a choice, with her force.

Ethan had to be escorted to the subbasement, still in cuffs and collar, an armed guard on either side of him. He shuffled toward the elevator, stopped by Artemis rushing out, dashing toward the door. He weaved through students, his telekinesis occasionally clearing his path when needed.

Emmott flickered into being beside Overture. "Chorus," he said, genuinely startling him. His blue eyes shone brightly, "Please don't do this." Overture hadn't felt him there before, but wasn't too surprised at his appearance.
"Who is Chorus? Sounds like a stupid name." He said, making Emmott's neck spin 180 degrees, snapping with a sickening crunch. He gurgled before flickering out of that reality's existence. Overture smiled as he saw Artemis exit the building, waiting patiently for him to get to the gate.

Artemis slowed to a stop, just in front of the gate. He stared at Overture for a moment, before shooting up into the sky, leaving a trail of pink energy behind him. He landed, gracefully, just behind Overture, the energy still swirling around him. "Who are you?" He asked, a hint of juvenile sarcasm in his voice. He didn't really care, it just helped to get the information out of people willingly.

Thea and Ellis reached the subbasement; normally off-limits to students like them. Thea looked around at the pristine walls and decor. "This is fancy." She commented, "Like, really fancy. What are we doing here?" She asked to no one in particular.

Dorian walked beside Thea and Ellis. "Sup, sluts," he said, unkindly. His jeans were black and went with his sneakers. "Either of you know why we're here?"

Overture frowned and looked away from the psychic. "Are you all? I came here for a little excitement. This is disappointing..." He sighed, as a flute began piping in the background.

"Surprise?" Ellis offered, inspecting the area. In the distance, the two X-Men could be seen, walking toward the meeting room. Lockheed floated just beside Kitty, his physiology unclear in the shadows, though Ellis was focused on the small creature. His attention was broken once Dorian spoke, causing him to look back. "Sorry, who are you?" He asked, almost accusingly.

"Woops, sorry, you got the leader of the X-Men. Don't have a troop for you to kneel before." Artemis crossed his arms, watching Overture and paying little attention to the flute. "Again, I ask, who the hell are you?"
