Description of Power: John can cause any fire, no matter how small, to grow in size and intensity. He can also cause the flames to take any form, even that of a living creature. The size, power, and heat intensity of the flame was only limited to his imagination and degree of concentration. The furthest fire that he can control should be within a 100-yard radius from him.

Weaknesses of Power: John is incapable of manipulating any fire that is not within his psionic control, and as such, can be burned by fires that he cannot control.

History (past and leading up to rp): John Allerdyce gained his ability of pyrokinesis when he was a teenager. However, due to their improbable use, John did not use his gift, unless it proved to be absolutely necessary. Growing up, he was a journalist for an Australian radio program, stationed mostly in Eastern Asia. The sights of his travel inspired his writing career. Though serious critics despised his works, his books were widely-spread throughout the English-speaking world. Though this was true, he had not enjoyed the minimal pay that he was receiving. When Mystique offered him a position with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, she offered a chance to continue roaming the world without the pay that he was receiving. In addition, he would receive a salary that his current job could not provide. Understandably, he accepted this role.
After a myriad of events that shaped him into the mutant terrorist that he was known for, Pyro would be murdered in an attempt to save Senator Robert Kelly from a second assassination attempt from the Brotherhood of Mutants. Later, he would be resurrected by Selene in order to partake in the assault of Utopia, later known as Necrosha. After he died a second time, his body was kept by Xavier in his school. Few attempts have been made to save the pyromaniac.
